Cutting Machine

The customer needed a machine capable of both pressing and cutting, and we therefore designed the following solution: a semi-automatic special purpose machine mounted on a height adjustable unit and equipped with a light curtain. The height adjustment ensures correct ergonomic working conditions, while the light curtain provides a safe working environment. Functionality of the machine: A base component is placed in a fixture at the bottom of the machine, and a cap is positioned in a mounting tool located in a servo press at the top section. When the operator presses “Start” on the control panel, the cap is pressed into place by the servo press. The pressing force is monitored by a load cell, and the data is logged for the specific part in a database. After the press operation, excess cap material is cut off by two servo-driven rotary knives. These knives automatically move over the part and carry out the cutting once the pressing is finished. Each knife is monitored by its own load cell, and this data is also stored in the part’s database.

Coordinate Welding Machine

This machine is a coordinate welder equipped with an X, Y, Z gantry using toothed belt modules. It is built on a standard platform with a working area of 1200 x 800 x 500 mm, where various fixtures can be mounted depending on the parts being processed. In this application, the coordinate welder is configured for ultrasonic welding of threaded inserts into plastic components. However, it can just as easily be produced as a screwdriving system for inserting screws into circuit boards. The machine is delivered ready for the specific task it is ordered to perform, but it can later be freely reprogrammed, allowing new recipes to be created. Different fixtures can also be installed, enabling the machine to handle other types of parts. In other words, the machine functions as a modular system that can be configured precisely to the required process. The coordinate welder is mounted on a height adjustable base, which ensures correct ergonomic working position, and a light curtain provides a safe operating environment.

Servo Press

This production machine is a 20 ton servo press designed to press fit shafts into rotors. The process is carried out by an operator who places the rotor and shaft in the machine and closes the door. The shaft is then pressed into the rotor under high pressure, and the pressing force is stored in an SQL database.

Mattress Assembly Machine

For one of our international customers, we developed the following solution: spring strings are fed from four different channels onto a servo-driven conveyor, where they are cut to length using a heated wire. The open ends are then welded together using ultrasonic welding. The shortened spring string continues along the conveyor to an indexing wheel, which ensures correct positioning for further assembly. As the string moves forward, a hot melt nozzle applies adhesive to the ends of the springs. The spring string then passes under an injector that lifts it into an assembly corridor. This corridor applies side pressure to hold the string in place while the upward motion bonds it with the previous string. Once the required number of spring strings has been joined, the finished mattress is discharged from the top of the machine.

Gluing Machine

This machine bonds two components using hot melt adhesive with a cycle time of 12,000 parts per minute. The lids are placed three at a time on a servo-indexed conveyor, which transports them to a gluing station where hot melt adhesive is applied. This process is monitored by a vision camera. In the next step, paper discs are placed onto the adhesive, and this process is also monitored by a vision camera. Finally, the finished parts are stacked onto a conveyor for subsequent packaging.

Ultrasonic Welding Machine

This ultrasonic welding machine is designed for use in a cleanroom environment. The machine welds two materials that are unwound from rolls and guided through a welding process, where an ultrasonic horn and a rotating anvil ensure the desired continuous weld.

Ultrasonic Welding

The ultrasonic welder joins two plastic components and forms part of a production line for electronic manufacturing. The workpiece is placed on a pallet that moves along a pallet conveyor, which transports it into the machine through automatic safety doors. Inside the machine, the pallet is lifted off the conveyor, and an ultrasonic unit with a block horn welds the two plastic components together. The approved welding parameters are then transferred to an SQL database, and the finished welded part is conveyed out through a safety door while the next part moves into position for welding.
